For nearly 40 years, PLMA's annual World of Private Label International Trade Show has brought retailers together with manufacturers to help them find new products, make new contacts and discover new ideas that will help their private label programmes succeed and grow.

On 28 and 29 May, the Amsterdam RAI Convention Centre welcomed well over 17,000 visitors from more than 125 countries who wanted to learn more about new trends in products and packaging.

As always, PLMA's international trade fair "World of Private Label" was a meeting place for retailers, buyers and other professionals who came to see what the nearly 3,000 exhibiting companies from 73 countries had to offer on the 43,500 m2 of exhibition space. No easy feat given the amount of space and the large number of food and non-food exhibitors, which was 10% higher than last year.

The trend towards private brands and private labels has been uninterrupted for years, which is why 58 Austrian exhibitors also took the opportunity to present their products in Amsterdam.

This year's product trends at PLMA included innovative beverages, halal and kosher products, protein products and sustainable products.

Austria was represented in three halls, the Food, Dairy and Non-Food hall. Astrid Fixl-Pummer, deputy department head at AW, was able to see first-hand the large Austrian presence and new stand design at PLMA.
