World Environment Day is on 5 June, and a total of more than 150 states will getting involved in this global day of action. People on every continent will be coming together to advance the cause of efficient use of resources on our planet.
It should come as no surprise that the ENERGY GLOBE Foundation will be showcasing the world’s leading environmental projects to a global audience at www.energyglobe.info on the day (from 5pm CEST).
The projects nominated are an impressive demonstration of how the environment can be protected and a worthwhile and liveable future created for generations to come. Award winners were selected by an international Energy Globe jury made up of delegates representing each continent and chaired by Maneka Gandhi, an Indian politician, environmentalist, feminist activist and writer, who has held several ministerial portfolios.
The Energy Globe Award is a private Austrian initiative and has been awarded annually since the year 2000. It is currently the world’s leading environmental prize, with more than 180 participant countries and between 2,000 and 3,000 projects submitted every year.
The ambition of this unique event is to showcase solutions that will protect the environment while promoting harmonious and productive cooperation between the business community and consumers.
Along with ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA, the Energy Globe Award is sponsored by the UNIDO, the Global Chamber Platform, Austria’s Federal Ministry for Climate Action, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology, Amiblu and the Club of Rome.
The virtual award ceremony will be held on 5 June 2021 (from 5pm CEST). Go to www.energyglobe.info to take part and do your bit for sustainable environmental and climate policies.
