From Presence to Partnership: Austrian Engagement Across Ukraine’s Leading Industry Platforms
Strong networks, a visible market presence, and first-hand insight into local developments are at the heart of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber’s work in Ukraine. In a dynamic, resilient, and opportunity-driven market such as Ukraine, direct participation on the ground delivers clear added value: it enables early identification of business potential, a sharper understanding of market needs, and stronger positioning for Austrian companies seeking to expand.
Thus, the May 2026 was rich in expert events:
- Ukrainian Transport Forum 2026 in Odesa clearly demonstrated that Ukraine’s logistics and port sector remain operational, resilient, and internationally connected even under wartime conditions. With more than 300 participants from logistics, port operations, transport, exports, and the public sector, the event provided a strong platform for high-level exchange and concrete business opportunities.
- Lviv Medical Forum, GalMED, brought together companies, medical institutions, and professionals from Ukraine and across Europe, positioning itself as a strong platform for practical exchange, new contacts, and concrete cooperation opportunities in the healthcare sector.
- International Industrial Forum, Kyiv demonstrated that Ukraine continues to sustain strong trade fair, exchange, and networking formats in the industrial sector as well. As the country’s largest industrial platform, the event brought together companies from metalworking, welding, automation, energy, and production technology, creating a high-quality environment for business development and market exploration. This year, Austrian expertise was represented by: Pewag Ukraine - advanced lifting and chain technologies; Fronius Ukraine - world-class welding technologies and equipment; Polytechnik -innovative biomass and industrial energy solutions.
- XXXIV Ukrainian Logistics Day in Kyiv brought together at the end of May one of the country’s most important logistics platforms. The event convened stakeholders from transport, warehousing, 3PL, express delivery, customs, foreign trade, and logistics IT, focusing on current developments in transport and warehousing logistics, process optimization, automation, and outsourcing.
Even in times of war, the Commercial Section of the Austrian Embassy in Ukraine has played an active role in key professional and networking events, using each platform to showcase Austrian engagement, deepen its market presence, broaden its contact base, and further strengthen a growing community of trusted partners and stakeholders.
