RINDERZUCHT AUSTRIA is the umbrella organisation of the 11 Austrian cattle breeding associations, 8 Federal chambers of agriculture, 8 Federal inspection associations, 6 artificial insemination centres and 6 cattle breeds associations. The most common cattle breeds in Austria are Fleckvieh, Brown Swiss, Holstein Friesian, Pinzgauer and Tiroler Grauvieh as well as various special breeds for meat production. RINDERZUCHT AUSTRIA has existed for over 50 years. 20,000 cattle breeders with over 400,000 cows in their herd registers are members of RINDERZUCHT AUSTRIA. The Austrian cattle breeding industry has 110 years of breeding experience as well as decades of experience in breeding cattle for export. More than 20,000 breeding cattle are exported every year.
