The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Akram Zairovich Aliev, Vice President of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber Philipp Gady, Deputy General Director of ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA Astrid Fixl-Pummer and the Austrian Ambassador to Uzbekistan Matthias Radosztics, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, heads of EU member state diplomatic missions accredited in Tashkent, and executives of Uzbek partners.
Rudolf Lukavsky has been appointed as Commercial Counsellor of the Austrian Embassy in Uzbekistan.
Speakers emphasized that the establishment of the Economic Section will contribute to strengthening bilateral trade, economic, and cultural-humanitarian cooperation. It was noted that Uzbek-Austrian relations have been developing dynamically in recent years, with Uzbekistan being one of Austria’s key trading partners in Central Asia.
As highlighted in the speeches, the opening of the Economic Section is expected to elevate bilateral cooperation to a new level, in the field of trade relations and investments.
