ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA Almaty is awarding the Silk Road Biz Award for outstanding business performance of Austrian companies in Central Asia already for the fourth time. "With the award, we would like to bring the often unknown success stories of Austrian companies onto the red carpet and into the media spotlight", said Clemens Machal, the Austrian Trade Commissioner in Almaty. The Austrian successes stories in the five Central Asian countries Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan are intended to spur further Austrian companies to focus on this growth region. An ideal way to start is to participate in a trade mission.
Applications will be accepted until December 31st, 2021.

"To be nominated, the success story has to be spectacular, outstanding and innovative", says Clemens Machal.
This year's award winners are from Salzburg and Vorarlberg
The Silk Road Biz Award 2021 winners were companies from Salzburg and Vorarlberg. MASTERCONCEPT succesfully carried out the planning and implementation of restaurants, lift stations, ski slopes and tourist attractions in the Mountain Resort Oi-Qaragai in the Almaty Region. GEBRÜDER WEISS successfully implemented a tailor-made logistics concept and delivered 35 dredgers from the Netherlands to the eastern Turkmen city of Kerki.
