ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA Almaty organized over 150 tailor-made B2B and B2G meetings with local companies and authorities in Almaty and Bishkek. During B2B meetings, networking receptions and trade fair visits at the Kazakhstan International Exhibition and Conference on Oil and Gas (KIOGE) and the Kazakhstan International Energy, Electrical Equipment and Machine Building Exhibition (Powerexpo), the participating Austrian companies were able to explore business opportunities in the growing Central Asian markets.
During the economic mission, also the Austria-Kyrgyzstan Joint Economic Commission was held in Bishkek, where concerns of Austrian companies were raised and topics for economic cooperation were discussed. The feedback from the Austrian business delegation was extremely positive and the upcoming event in Central Asia, an economic mission to Turkmenistan, is already being planned for December 2022.
