In November 21 to 23 organized ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA Istanbul and ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA Tbilisi and Baku an economic mission in the region of South Caucasus. 7 Austrian companies visited Georgia and Azerbaijan to meet main decision makers and build a network with business partners.
The economic mission focused on energy, sustainability and natural resources, was also open for companies from another branches.
The business delegation in Georgia was accompanied by Karlheinz Kopf - Secretary General of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber. On November 21, he met high-ranking representatives from politics and business in Tbilisi. In addition to conversations together with Austrian Commercial Counsellor for Georgia Gerhard Lackner, Ambassador of Austria to Georgia Thomas Mühlmann (#ReFocusAustria), Ambassador of Georgia to Austria and members of parliament, meetings were held with representatives of Georgian government - Deputy Prime and Economics Minister Levan Davitashvili and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Ilia Darchiashvili.
The visit of Karlheinz Kopf gained high attention from media: the TV report on visit of Secretary General and representatives of Austrian companies was Broadcasted on local television.
Within the framework of economic mission in Georgia and Azerbaijan, Austrian business delegation explored new possibilities for future cooperation. Additionally to company visits, there were more than 100 B2B meetings between Austrian and Georgian/Azerbaijani business partners.
The varied program in South Caucasus was rounded off with an Austrian Business Circle and the festive hand over of Energy Globe Awards to national winner in Georgia and Azerbaijan.
