Opportunities in the South-Caucasus Region are huge: 22 Austrian company representatives participated at the Trade Mission to Georgia (12 companies) and Azerbaijan (20 companies) from May 16thto 19th 2022. Led by the Vice President of the Federal Economic Chamber, Richard Schenz, also the 10th conference of the Joint Commission for Economic, Industrial and Technological Cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Austria took place, co-organized by the Austrian Federal Minister for Digital and Economic Affairs. Beyond economic forums and AUSTRIAN BUSINESS CIRCLES in both countries, ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA Istanbul with its team in Baku and Tbilisi organized over 160 B2B and B2G meetings for the Austrian company representatives in both countries. Finally, the Austrian ambassador to Azerbaijan invited for a networking gathering at his premises and the Austrian ambassador to Georgia called for a gala concert in line with the ReFocus Initiative and to celebrate the 30-year diplomatic relationship between Georgia and Austria. The main intention of the Gala was to show solidarity with the Ukraine and to collect donations for humanitarian projects.
