ALP.Lab is Austria's test region for automated driving and an accredited Euro NCAP laboratory. In addition, ALP.Lab uses stationary sensor systems (LiDAR, radar, camera) to record over 10 million km of real traffic data per year - for traffic planners and as training data for driver assistance systems.
ALP.Lab GmbH was founded by industrial partners (AVL List and Magna Steyr) and research institutions (Graz University of Technology, Joanneum Research and Virtual Vehicle Research). As an innovation laboratory, ALP.Lab is funded by the Austrian Federal Ministry for Climate Protection through the FFG.
