AUSTRIA CONNECT Greater China 2019

AUSTRIA CONNECT Greater China, the annual conference for the managers of Austrian subsidiaries in mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, is Asia's top networking event bringing Austrian companies and their trusted partners together. The 2019 Conference will take place on Thursday, Oct. 24 (evening) and on Friday, Oct. 25 at the HK Ocean Park Marriott Hotel in Hong Kong and consists of presentations and networking sessions under the big topic "China's Role in Asia and the World".

The exchange with representatives of Austrian businesses in Greater China is at the heart of AUSTRIA CONNECT Greater China 2019. Expert presentations and panel discussions held in English will focus on specific consequences, challenges and new opportunities China’s changing environment may entail for Austrian companies doing business in Asia and the world. In addition, tailor-made business workshops will be offered to the conference delegates.

The conference will start on Oct. 24 in the evening with a networking reception at the HK Ocean Park Marriott Hotel. The Friday Oct. 25 programme consists of presentations, workshops and offers lots of opportunities to meet other delegates. The Austrian Trade Commissions will present their working programmes. Altogether a very unique opportunity to get an update on doing business in China and Asia and to strengthen existing and force new relationships.

Hong Kong as a place to travel to

The safety of our conference participants is of our utmost concern. Please rest assured that together with Hong Kong authorities, the Austrian Ministry for Foreign Affairs BMEIA and also the Austrian Trade Commission closely monitor local developments. Hong Kong is still considered a safe place to visit but some precautions are advised due to demonstrations, sometimes on a very large scale going on that might also affect travel arrangements. Registration, programme and costs

Participation fee for members of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber: 350 EUR
Participation fee for non-members and others*: 700 EUR

The participation fee will be billed by separate payment notice.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation without penalty is possible until September 24, 2019. After this date and up to 10 days before the event, 50% of the fee will be charged, after which 100% of the fee is payable. To cancel your participation, please send an e-mail to hongkong@advantageaustria.org.

Seats are limited and priority is given to Austrian companies and their subsidaries in China and Asia. There are only some seats for service providers and their registration can only be confirmed at a later stage.
