Why China?
China is not only the world's largest car market, but is also a key player in the future of autonomous driving As the world's largest car manufacturer, China is investing heavily in further developing AI applications for mobility. The market volume for autonomous driving in China alone is expected to rise from €9.3 billion to €47.9 billion between 2017 and 2024. From autumn 2025, China is expected to introduce stricter L3 safety standards and officially permit the commercial use of L3 autonomous vehicles on public roads. There are already numerous commercial applications today: L2 systems are installed in 57.3% of all new cars, and robotaxis and robobuses are being tested in 20 pilot cities. Autonomous trucks and delivery vehicles are also in use in many places. As a technology pioneer, China offers many exciting insights into the future of mobility.
What can you expect?
A two-day specialized program in Shanghai and the surrounding area, as well as the opportunity to attend one of Asia's leading conferences on autonomous driving, “AutoSens China 2025” in Hefei. The program includes:
- Visits to OEMs and leading technology companies, as well as test center and pilot projects for commercial applications in Shanghai and the surrounding area.
- Visits to leading companies in the field of autonomous cars, Level 4 buses and robotaxis.
- Regulatory insights from the national inspection organisation on standards, certifications and testing.
- Exclusive discussions with a leading Austrian company in the field of autonomous driving and other experts.
- The opportunity to experience autonomous driving first-hand with test drives in L4 vehicles.

Registration, program & costs
- Registration deadline: 20 September 2025
- Participation fee: EUR 700 (plus VAT) for members; EUR 1,400 (plus VAT) for non-members
- Please note that the participation fee for AutoSens China is NOT included in the aforementioned fee of EUR 700. The standard AutoSens China price is RMB 9,250. However, if you participate in our Trend Scouting Mission, you can get a discounted price of RMB 4,625 for the first person and RMB 6,475 for the second person from the same company to attend AutoSens.
