goShanghai&Beijing 2020 - Accelerate your Startup in China

  • 线上
goShanghai&Beijing 2020 goes DIGITAL – and you can join the Austrian startup Day from the comfort of your home!
International travel may be restricted. But now is the time for ambitious Austrian startups and Chinese stakeholders to lay the foundations for a successful collaboration in China and beyond.

ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA and the Global Incubator Network Austria are organizing goShanghai&Beijing 2020 - a one-month long fully DIGITAL boot camp with exclusive meetings, trainings and pitching opportunities for Austrian startups aiming to internationalize to the Chinese mainland.

What makes China interesting for international startups
China is not only home to well-known technology giants, but also has over 200 startup unicorns, 82 of them in Beijing, according to the Hurun media agency. In addition to the vast domestic market of 1.4 billion, the success factor is the openness of Chinese consumers to new technologies and business models. A unicorn only takes half the time to develop in China than in the United States. China is now one of the largest markets for venture capital, and the state also supports foreign and Chinese startups, particularly with incubator and support programs, as well as tax breaks and grants.

Your opportunity to work together with the next hot startup
We have pre-selected a number of exciting startups with proven business models and track record and at least seed-stage investment from a wide range of verticals, including HealthTech, Intelligent Manufacturing, RetailTech, SmartMobility and eSports.

The startups are interested in connecting with local investors, corporates and business partners to jointly develop their business in China and beyond.
