Austrian Business Delegation in Hainan Province

The main goal of this delegation was the exploration of opportunities in context with the Hainan Free Trade Port, an ambitious project of the central government to make Hainan the world’s largest free trade port. The delegation, which was led by Ms. Birgit Murr, Austrian Commercial Consul & Acting Head of the Austrian Consulate in Guangzhou, met with government authorities for an informative seminar on Hainan’s policies, visited several major industrial parks, the Mission Hills Resort Area and Yangpu Port as well as leading companies of Hainan’s Duty-Free Industry. The delegation was joined by the Austrian companies Andritz, Oberndorfer, VAMED, Raiffeisen Bank International, Bruker Alicona, Commend, Riedel, Kracher, Rauch, Berglandmilch, and cargo-partner. We believe this event helped the members of our delegation to get a better understanding of Hainan’s Free Trade Port and its preferential policies.
