The Golden Age Expo and Summit (GAES) is a pioneering event and interactive platform to propel transformative change in population ageing topics. This year’s Summit features both online and offline events to double the exposure for all. Besides the physical event held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre until Aug. 29, visitors from anywhere in the world can also connect with each other through the virtual interactive platform.
Mark your calendar for the Wednesday, Sep. 15 at 3 PM Hong Kong time “Global Elderly Care” Round Table. Dr. Wolfgang Kratky from the Geriatric Health Centres of the City of Graz will share some of Austrian examples of innovative assistive technologies shaping the elderly care of the future.
The Geriatric Health Centres of the City of Graz (GGZ) provide patient care and conduct research and development in geriatrics and gerontechnology. GGZ are among Europe’s top institutions in this field and the Centers have received various geriatric care quality awards. The Centres support their nursing homes with various technologies e.g. for fall prevention and control, remote medical support, training videos and terminals to support therapy and rehabilitation. The Centers also offer technologies for home care e.g. sensor based and voice controlled devices to serve as emergency call centers and as communication tools and community platforms and management portals for caregivers.
