After examining several options in various European countries, Austria was chosen as the optimal location for the new cargo flight by China West Airport Group Air Logistics Co.,Ltd. As Vienna is located at the center of Europe, just like Xi’an is located at the center of China there are many geographic and logistical reasons for establishing the new cargo connection.
The flight, which will start in May, will operate twice a week and with a Boeing B747-400f and will offer a payload of 100tons or 650m3.
Furthermore, dangerous goods of class 1-9, such as electronic products, equipment, instruments, medicines, chemicals and so on containing lithium batteries, can be transported on this flight. Once the goods arrive in Vienna or Xi’an they can be distributed via railway throughout Central Europe or Asia.
