Award-winning wines from Austria were proudly presented to Chinese wine experts and connoisseurs this autumn – ready to conquer the Chinese market. On the occasion of the Austrian National Day 2022, the Shanghai leg of the WINE100 Roadshow was held on October 25th in Jing’an Shangri-La Hotel, aiming to raise the profile of Austrian wines among increasingly sophisticated Chinese consumers.
As the official Representative of Austrian business in Shanghai, Mr. Christian Fuchssteiner, Consul for Commercial Affairs, kicked off the wine seminar with his greeting remarks. Afterwards the Chinese guests savored a handpicked selection of award-winning Austrian wines accompanied by excellent Jiangnan Cuisine. Austrian wines are renowned for their unique quality and outstanding cost-performance ratio. Around 110 Austrian wineries currently export their products to China, with more and more wine growers interested in entering the promising, yet challenging Chinese market.
