Four Hong Kong deep tech startups had been selected in an Asian-wide competition to participate in the GIN GO AUSTRIA programme which aims to get them ready to conquer the European market via Austria. After some first digital presentations and mentor sessions, they were invited to attend in person the ViennaUP Festival and have personal meetings with mentor and to pitch there. Innovation has always been a key ingredient for Vienna’s success as a business location. ViennaUP is Austria’s main startup festival, a decentralized community-driven event series in the heart of Europe, shining a light on what the future of technology holds. From May 27 – June 3, 2022, 10,000 visitors from all over will make Vienna the centre of the international startup world for one week. ViennaUP'22 actively seeks to merge innovation and tradition in order to provide participants with a lasting Viennese experience beyond the individual events.
GO AUSTRIA by the Global Incubator Network Austria (GIN) is a market discovery and access program consisting of a digital and a two-week on-site program in Austria. The program gives participants the opportunity to explore the Austrian and European markets, as well as to find new collaboration partners and/or investors. One major asset of the program is the personal startup mentor who will be matched to each startup, supporting it to validate their business model, network with investors and relevant stakeholders, as well as design an internationalization plan. The next GO AUSTRIA call will take place in fall 2022, Asian startups can also apply for individual program and support for their European market acceleration programme via Austria.
