The Marketplace Austria for Food & Beverages on 16 October in Vienna once again offered a full programme for the international food industry. Around 130 buyers from 40 countries came to the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber of Commerce to meet Austrian food producers in the Austrian capital.

Martha Schultz, Vice President of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, and Section Head Florian Frauscher (Federal Ministry of Labor and Economic Affairs) opened the event in person, while Austrian Agriculture Minister Norbert Totschnig opened the event via video message.

Among the 130 buyers, a Chinese business delegation, accompanied by a team member of Advantage Austria Shanghai, visited the Austrian Marketplace for Food & Beverage in Vienna on 16 October. The delegation, consisting of ten people, had many fruitful discussions with Austrian F&B manufacturers to explore potential cooperation. Moreover, the participants had the opportunity to taste sparkling wines and wines at the Johann Kattus winery and explore meat products at the flagship store of the Aumaerk meat factory. The delegation also participated in a wine tour of the Wachau/Traisental region on 17 October, visiting three prestigious wineries - Domäne Wachau, Lenz Moser and Markus Huber.
