With around 1,500 exhibitors from more than 40 countries and over 100,000 visitors, the 31st edition of AGROTICA confirmed its status as Southeast Europe’s leading agricultural trade fair. From 12 to 15 March, Thessaloniki once again became the central meeting point for the agricultural sector in Greece and the wider Balkan region.

At the AUSTRIA Pavilion, organized by ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA Athens, six Austrian companies were showcased, offering tangible business opportunities across various segments. The participating Austrian companies included wood‑chipping machinery from Eschlböck, Big Bag dispensing systems from OMP, insect‑based ReFarmUnits for upcycling organic waste from Reploid, consulting and market entry services from Ruttensteiner, agricultural construction solutions from Wolf Systembau, as well as ventilation systems from Ziehl‑Abegg.

The agricultural and forestry sector contributes more than EUR 8.9 billion annually to Greece’s GDP. Its close integration with the export‑oriented food industry, a growing biomass sector, and a new generation of well‑educated and investment‑ready farmers create objective market opportunities for Austrian suppliers.

More than 200 qualified business contacts were established for the participating companies at the well‑attended AUSTRIA Pavilion.

The event is part of go-international, a joint initiative of the Austrian Federal Ministry for Economy, Energy and Tourism and the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber.
