Since 1896, Geppert Austria has been delivering pioneering hydropower solutions that support the global transition to clean and environmentally sustainable energy. Building on this legacy, Geppert Hydro India, established in 2020 as a wholly owned subsidiary, has rapidly grown into a trusted partner for the Asian hydropower sector.

Located in Patarashi Rural Municipality, Jumla District, Karnali Province, this 998 kW off-grid hydropower project is bringing clean, reliable electricity to approximately 6,000 households. Beyond electrification, the project is improving quality of life by enabling clean cooking solutions, strengthening local livelihoods, and creating opportunities for women-led small enterprises.

Projects like these showcase the strength of Austrian engineering and innovation in addressing global energy challenges while creating meaningful local impact.
