Some 560 mountain farms from the Alpine region of the Bregenzerwald, the UNESCO-protected Biosphere Reserve Grosses Walsertal, Tyrol and the Allgäu now supply their valuable mountain farm hay milk to the Käserebellen dairies. The farmers are committed to ensuring that their cows have an exclusively silage-free and GMO-free diet. Every year, around 52 million kg of hay milk from mountain farms are processed to make hard, semi-hard and soft cheese specialities.
