AUSTRIAN PARLIAMENTARY DELEGATION VISITS SOUTH KOREA
Aim of the visit was to gain a multi-faceted insight into politics, economy and society of the Republic of Korea.
A delegation of five members of the Austrian Parliament visited South Korea from 8 to 12 of October and completed an extensive political, economic as well as cultural program. The program was organized by the Austrian Embassy Seoul. Wolfgang Köstinger and David Jaritsch from ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA SEOUL accompanied the group to most of the meetings. Amongst others, the delegation paid visits to the Korean Parliament, the International Vaccine Institute and met with representatives of the European Chamber of Commerce in Korea to exchange views on the economic situation of South Korea. Highlights of the trip were the visits to the subsidiaries of Engel, an Austrian manufacturer of plastic injection molding machines, and DYM Solutions, a subsidiary of Borealis, which focuses on the production of Semiconductive Compound for Extra-High Voltage Power Cables.
