Austrian Delegation led by State Secretary Florian Tursky visits South Korea

ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA Seoul, together with the Austrian Embassy Seoul accompanied an official delegation with the purpose of exchanging knowledge in the fields of telecommunication, digitalization, AI and new technologies from 8 to 10 of June. The delegation was led by the State Secretary for Digitalization of the Republic of Austria, Florian Tursky.

In addition to numerous high-level meetings with representatives from South Korea’s most important tech-companies, State Secretary Florian Tursky also visited some of Korea’s foremost research institutions in Daejeon. The Austrian delegation paid visits to Korean tech giants such as Samsung Electronics and SK Telecom to learn more about innovation in the digital industry. Highlights of the mission were the visits to KARI (Korean Aerospace Research Institute), where the delegation could gather insights into the Korean space- and satellite programs; to KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology), Korea’s top research university; to KIMM (Korea Institute for Machinery and Materials) and to ETRI (Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute).
