State visit on 9 May: South Korean Prime Minister Han Duck-soo at the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber (WKÖ)

"Our goal is to further deepen our excellent economic relations with the Republic of Korea. I am therefore very pleased about the visit of Prime Minister Han Duck-soo to the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber and about the opportunity to exchange views on important economic topics at the highest level," emphasized Harald Mahrer, President of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber (WKÖ), on the occasion of a round table with Austrian company representatives, the South Korean Prime Minister and the Austrian Minister of Labour and Economy Martin Kocher. South Korea is a global hotspot for future technologies and therefore of great interest for Austria and its companies. As the tenth largest economy and seventh largest export nation in the world, the Republic of Korea is one of the most innovative countries in the world. South Korea is also Austria’s fourth most important overseas market with more than 1,000 Austrian companies exporting their products to Korea.
