Austria and Malaysia share a growing ambition in the semiconductor industry, and this mission is designed to strengthen bilateral cooperation, explore new opportunities, and advance technological collaboration across the semiconductor value chain.
Malaysia’s strong commitment to its semiconductor ecosystem - anchored by the New Industrial Master Plan 2030 (NIMP 2030), the National Investment Aspirations (NIA), and the Malaysia Semiconductor Strategic Plan, creates significant opportunities for Austrian companies, particularly in equipment, materials, engineering services, and smart manufacturing.
With a proven track record in high-technology sectors and a dynamic ecosystem of innovative companies, Austria is well-positioned to contribute meaningfully to Malaysia’s semiconductor growth ambitions.
Held in conjunction with SEMICON SEA 2026, the mission will feature a delegation of 10 Austrian semiconductor companies visiting Penang, Kedah, Kuala Lumpur, and Malacca, engaging directly with industry leaders and ecosystem stakeholders throughout the week.
A key highlight of the mission will be the Business Networking Reception on 6 May 2026 in Kuala Lumpur, where Austrian delegate companies will present their technologies and solutions, followed by dedicated networking sessions with Malaysian industry players, which offers a valuable platform for meaningful connections and future collaboration.
