Sometimes it takes a traditional family business to achieve the best results. This is certainly the case with the Fidesser winery in Platt, in the Weinviertel region. Knowledge is passed on, and at the same time new ideas are tried out and put into practice.
The youngest generation, Sophie and Rudi, are now going one step further: Fidesser wines are to be radically natural, immediate and absolutely strong in character. In order to get something new from the vineyards in Platt and Obernalb near Retz every year, mixing the experience of parents Norbert and Gerda with the fresh approach of their children proves to be the ideal combination.

When they have reached their ideal ripeness, the grapes are carefully selected and harvested by hand, gently processed and the barrels are filled. From then on, a careful eye is kept on the wine. Sophie and Rudi Fidesser hardly intervene, allowing the wine to mature and giving it time. Achieving quality calls for restraint and the conscious decision that less is more.
The winery is primarily looking for importers, wine merchants and restaurant owners in Asia, but would also like to reach out to customers and wine lovers worldwide.
