Is your life getting louder and louder? Constant noise pollution above 70 dB is considered harmful to human hearing.

Seven Bel has developed a high-precision measuring instrument that is doing its bit against noise pollution: The Sound Scanner works like an acoustic camera, visualising the auditory environment in a ‘heat map’.

Colour-coding of the measurement data provides a visual representation of the level of noise pollution, and the procedure makes it quick and easy to localise the sources of sound.

There are many uses, from mechanical engineering and architectural acoustics to environmental noise reduction and automotive manufacturing, and even domestic appliance development.
