There are an estimated 90 million - mainly Protestant - Christians in China. Churches are financed by donations from the congregations.
The Grassmayr company, founded in Innsbruck in 1599, won two projects in the eastern Chinese province of Fujian: in Quanzhou, the design concept of the German architect provides for 37 bells for the new construction of a Protestant church; in Xiamen, three large Grassmayr bells will ring in the towers of the renovated cathedral alongside 2 Grassmayr clocks. The Advantage Austria Guangzhou and Chengdu supports the Austrian company locally with lobbying work.
