Austria has long been recognized for its rich musical heritage and cultural contributions. In an exciting development for the creative industries, the Austrian Trade Commission is proud to present Austrian Sustainable Fashion in this cosmopolitan city for the very first time.
The Austrian Sustainable Fashion Initiative will showcase functional and innovative designs that emphasize environmental sustainability, highlighting the unique offerings of Austrian brands.
This initiative also serves as a potential gateway for these Austrian brands to expand their presence in the Asian market through the fashion metropolis Hong Kong. By bridging the gap between Austrian fashion and Asian consumers, this showcase aims to foster greater collaboration and awareness of sustainable practices in the global fashion industry.
As attitudes worldwide shift to appreciate innovative designs, premium materials, and sustainability, the fashion industry is embracing greener practices. For consumers in Hong Kong, sustainability has also emerged as an essential consideration when purchasing new clothing. This is why we want to introduce more premium brands with high quality sustainable fashion products to customers in Hong Kong.
We are currently looking for retail partners, institutions, and enthusiasts of Austrian products in Hong Kong who are interested in connecting with these innovative founders from Austria.
This Austrian delegation will visit Hong Kong from August 31 to September 5, 2026.
Special highlights during this trip:
- Participation in Hong Kong's leading fashion fair, CENTRESTAGE, with an Austrian country pavilion featuring a presentation area for designs (4days from Wednesday to Saturday)
- Austrian Sustainable Fashion Show at CENTRESTAGE
- Individual business-to-business meetings between the Austrian companies and local partners
- Additional visit program for Austrian fashion companies, such as visits to retail outlets, markets and malls, along with on-site workshops focused on sustainable sourcing.
If you are interested in being a part of our sustainable fashion journey, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us for further discussion.
Mark the date to meet these creative and forward-thinking designers in 2026.

Doris Glatzl aka Dora Strasser creates high-quality, custom-made, and entirely handcrafted unique pieces in Austria, based between Vienna and Lower Austria. Mixed media form the foundation of the creative process. The entire sequence ranges from manual sketches and photographs to image editing, digital textile prints, and handmade arrangements. Operating as a small company, she produces exclusive, limited-edition pieces, preferably made-to-order and utilizing print-on-demand fabrics to minimize waste and align with eco-conscious principles. - km/a
km/a creates distinctive fashion for true individualists. Each piece is lovingly handmade in our Vienna studio, at the heart of the city. The result of a thoughtful creative process, our designs put form and function on equal footing—through fabrics, cuts, colors, and purpose. Every garment is one of a kind, made for those who embrace their uniqueness and have the confidence to express it. Our materials carry the stories of past lives: once parachutes, alpine hut textiles, or weathered tent canvas. We continue their journey, transforming them into new forms where contrast, character, and history come together in a modern context. - Lenzing
Lenzing AG has firmly established itself as a global leader in both sustainability and specialty fiber innovation, once again earning recognition from leading international organizations such as CDP, EcoVadis, MSCI, and Canopy as one of the world’s most sustainable companies. This commitment is underscored by tangible environmental progress, including a significant reduction of its absolute greenhouse gas emissions by 41 percent since 2017. - Montreet by Nadine Schratzenberger
Montreet, founded in Vienna by circular economy expert Nadine Scherzinger, was built on a powerful philosophy: creating honest, unique, and functional fashion that bridges the mountain and the metropolis. Montreet has paused production to transition from product brand to strategic partner. Founder Nadine Scherzinger now focuses entirely on circular economy consulting, seeking new markets and collaborations where her expertise can drive systemic change in fashion. A selection of existing Montreet products is available at the Austrian Trade Commission for retailers and collaborators to experience the brand's quality firsthand. - MY MAGPIE Vienna
MY MAGPIE Vienna specializes in the art of reinterpretation, transforming the iconic legacy of Viennese Art Nouveau and modernism into contemporary wearable art through sophisticated 3D-printing technology. Sustainability and individuality are at its core. Every jewel is meticulously crafted from recycled Polyamide 12, a testament to a commitment to responsible design. These pieces are often accentuated with precious gold-plated elements made of Sterling Silver 925. As each creation is finished entirely by hand and produced exclusively to order. - Woody
For over a century, the family-owned workshop Woody has been crafting handmade, flexible wooden shoes in the Carinthia region in Austria. Their collection spans from classic clogs to contemporary mules, sandals, boots, and trainers. The defining feature of every pair is the innovative flexible wooden sole, which incorporates an ergonomic footbed to ensure a uniquely comfortable walking experience. Further reinforcing its environmental commitment, Woody designs its shoes with longevity in mind, allowing the wooden sole to be replaced when worn to prevent unnecessary waste, and powers 60 percent of its factory operations with a photovoltaic plant installed directly on-site.
