Despite all Covid-related uncertainties, ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA Beijing remains flexible and uses all possible means to promote Austrian companies. The Austrian Commercial Counsellor, Mr. Michael Berger, joined two broadcasting programs to introduce Austrian products and lifestyle.
Sohu Media, a popular Chinese media platform, runs a show called “The Ambassador’s kitchen”, where ADVANTAGE Austria together with the Austrian National Tourism Office presented Austrian cuisine, culture, and traditions. The Chinese audience could follow a live cooking session of Wiener Schnitzel and an Austrian wine tasting. Besides, they learned more about Austrian consumer goods and the enthusiasm for winter sports in the Alpine country, which is hopefully also taking over in China in the next years, after the kick-off with the Olympic winter games this year. A few weeks later, the Austrian Commercial Counsellor, Mr. Michael Berger, went live on TV. The nationwide channel BRTV (Beijing Radio & Television Network) in cooperation with JD worldwide invited him to the show “我们的世界生活之大使来了” (Ambassadors giving us an impression of Global Living). Coming in with a suitcase full of Austrian delicacies and products, the show host was surprised by the diversity of Austrian goods and enjoyed the tasty sweets. To rewatch the show click here.
