The visually impressive Austrian Pavilion was perfectly organised by Mr. Christian Kiene, Trade Fair Officer at ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA in Vienna, and supported on-site by ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA Shanghai. A total of 23 top Austrian companies presented their solutions in the fields of precision machinery, intelligent processing, high-performance materials and recycling technologies. Another seven well-known Austrian companies also attended as individual exhibitors. Together, they demonstrated the outstanding strengths of Austrian engineering and sustainability expertise in the plastics industry.
Supported by go-international, a joint initiative of the Austrian Federal Ministry of Economy, Energy and Tourism, and the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, the Austrian Pavilion offered participating companies a valuable platform to acquire new customers, identify market trends at an early stage, and position themselves as reliable partners within the highly developed Asian plastics sector.
On the occasion of the Austrian Pavilion at CHINAPLAS 2026, ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA Shanghai hosted an exclusive B2B Networking Reception on 22 April 2026 in the elegant Executive Lounge of the Primus Hotel. About 100 guests, including representatives from Austrian companies and their key business contacts, the newly appointed Austrian Consul General in Shanghai, Gerhard Maynhardt, as well as the ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA Shanghai team, took the opportunity to exchange professional insights in a relaxed atmosphere and explore new cooperation opportunities.
