AMADEUS Information Evening & VIP Dinner

listen

On March 9, our ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA Shanghai team hosted in collaboration with the AMADEUS International School Vienna and with the support of the Austrian Consulate General in Shanghai, the AMADEUS Information Evening & VIP Dinner at the Consulate General Club (86th floor, JinMao Tower) in Shanghai. Set against the stunning Shanghai skyline, the evening brought together education, culture and art in a warm and engaging setting.

The event provided Chinese families an in‑depth introduction to the school’s holistic education model — from the IB Diploma Programme to the integrated Music & Arts Academy and the multicultural boarding life. Attendees received valuable insights into overseas education pathways as well as the unique opportunities AMADEUS International School Vienna offers.

We were honoured to welcome Consul General Helmut Rakowitsch, who emphasised the strong cultural and educational ties between Austria and China and described AMADEUS International School Vienna as “a cultural bridge connecting the young generations of our two countries.”

A special highlight of our night was the performance by the violinist Siyi Li, Second Prize winner of the Violins & Soul Competition. Siyi performed on a 1665 Jacob Stainer violin from the Goh Family Collection and was appointed AMADEUS Honorary Ambassador — a fitting tribute to the evening’s celebration of music and cultural connection.

The programme also featured presentations by AMADEUS’ leadership and members of the Board of Trustees, including Dr. Wilson Goh and Mrs. Karen Goh, together with the Head of School Ms. Karen Ball and the Head of Marketing & Admissions Mr. Samuel De Leon, who all engaged directly with families and guests.

More than an information session, the evening became a meaningful cultural dialogue between Austria and China — celebrating education, art and the partnerships that bring our communities together.
