Travellers are still required to take a direct flight to Mainland China if there is such a direct flight from the country of origin where their travel begins. This means that if there is a direct flight from your country of departure to Mainland China (regardless of the destination); you are not allowed to enter Mainland China on a flight with a connecting option.

Air China offers a direct flight between Vienna and Beijing. This flight can currently only be used by Austrian and Chinese citizens.
