This year, the Austrian company B&R will be present at the exhibition (booth No.: N5-318). B&R is a global leader in industrial automation that has been providing automation solutions in China for 24 years. The Machine Intelligence Technology Center (MICT) of B&R in China conducts R&D work and focuses on three missions: modeling and simulating, industrial template and intelligent algorithms. MITC develops and validates several advanced solutions for predictive maintenance on site. For example, the core component of photovoltaics, silicon wafers, is produced by a multi-wire cutter. By controlling the high-speed reciprocation of the thin wire, a multi-wire cutter can stably cut a silicon rod into hundreds of thin silicon wafers. However, it is inevitable that a device will fail during production, leading to a large waste of expensive silicon rods and a system failure. Therefore, health monitoring and predictive maintenance of the multi-wire cutter is imperative to prevent such loss.
