Incoming Mission Wintersport

April 19-21, 2023 saw the 24rd edition of the mountaineering technology exhibition “Interalpin” in Innsbruck, Austria.

Taking this opportunity, ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA Beijing invited 16 representatives from the Chinese winter sports industry to the Austrian winter sport provinces of Tyrol and Salzburg. In addition to visiting the Interalpin exhibition, the participants also visited ski resorts operating around the year, glaciers, wellness spas and ski equipment manufacturers. Additionally, the delegation also participated in B2B events with numerous Austrian winter sports companies, organized by the Tyrolean Chamber of Commerce.

Day 1

First, the delegation visited the headquarters of the Doppelmayr Group. Doppelmayr is one of the worlds most renowned manufacturers of cable car equipment. During the factory tour, the delegation members got a detailed introduction of the production process and the product safety by the person in charge, which gave them a more detailed understanding of the century-old company. Following the visit to Doppelmayr, the delegation visited ski production factory of HEAD, a famous Austrian ski equipment manufacturer, where the insights in the production process left a deep impression on the delegation members

Day 2

In the second day, the Tyrol Chamber of Commerce organized an B2B conference, which offered the delegation members the unique opportunity to exchange interesting business ideas and market insights with Austrian companies. As last years Winter Olympics were held in Beijing, the Chinese delegation was highly anticipated.

Day 3

The next day was the highlight of the delegation’s trip: the visit of the Interalpin exhibition, which is the the world's most important mountain technology trade fair, with 650 exhibitors from more than 50 countries, attracting 35,000 professional visitors. The delegation very impressed with the new insights and developments in the field of winter sports.

Day 4

After an entire day inside visiting the exhibition halls, it was time for some fresh air. Thus, the delegation continued its trip to the famous PITZTAL.With an altitude of 3,440 meters it was an absolute highlight to visit Austria's highest café awaits the DAS 3440. On the free-floating terrace, the surrounding peaks are within reach.

Afterwards, the delegation headed for a warmup to the Aqua Dome hot springs in Längenfeld. The most modern and architecturally impressive thermal resort in the Alps in the heart of the Ötztal scores with futuristic-looking water and sauna world. As Tirol's biggest spa,Aque Dome prides itself on its three futuristic floating bowl pools.

Day 5

Last Day, the delegation visited Sölden, the most famous ski paradise in the Austrian Oise Valley and one of the most famous ski resorts in Europe. With a total length of 146km of slopes of different levels of slope, it is suitable for skiers of all abilities. 33 state-of-the-art ski lifts and gondolas with a transport capacity of 70,000 people per hour ensure that guests can enjoy endless skiing without having to wait in line.

The trip eventually ended at the famous 007 ELEMENTS, which is located in a beautiful building designed and built by Obermoser arch-omo zt gmbh at 3040 m above sea level, inside the Gaislachkogl in Sölden. The building extends over 2 floors on about 1300 m² and blends into the natural beauty of the surrounding mountains. Visitors are immediately immersed in the James Bond world with all its radiance and soundscape. The two main exhibition rooms offer sensational views of Tyrol's mountains and valleys.
