“PROSIT 23” wherever you are, from Vienna to Ulaanbaatar!

The start of the new year is celebrated also in Mongolia the Austrian way! The Vienna Philharmonic gives its annual New Year's Concert in the Golden Hall of the Musikverein. The whole world looks on and joins in the celebrations of the first day of the New Year. Perhaps the most famous concert in the world is broadcast by television to an audience of millions in over 90 countries.
 
Besides in Vienna, also other cities world-wide follow the tradition and celebrate the new year with an Austrian-styled event. Take Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia as an example: The Mongolian-Austrian Cooperation Council, the Austrian Alumni Association in cooperation with the Mongolian State Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet hosted in Ulaanbaatar on December 14, 2022 a “PROSIT 2023!” concert, named after the tradition for the musicians to wish the audience Happy New Year in German. The organizers donate 15% of all proceeds from the sold-out concert to the Cancer Survivors Support Program of the National Cancer Center.
