From May 18 to 22, 2026, Vienna served as the epicenter of entrepreneurship and innovation during ViennaUP. This startup festival unites the global startup community, transforming Vienna into a vibrant hub of creativity and collaboration, showcasing its commitment to fostering innovation.
Elmo Fung from our Startups and Innovation Team proudly led the GO AUSTRIA Spring delegation for the second consecutive year, in partnership with the Global Incubator Network (GIN), showcasing a select group of seven startups incubated in Hong Kong. The participation of these innovative startups underscores the ever-strengthening ties between Vienna and the vibrant startup scene in Hong Kong.
ViennaUP offered an exceptional array of events organized by over 35 program partners, supported by the Vienna Business Agency. Throughout the week, delegates were invited to explore the enchanting city and engage with the rich Viennese startup ecosystem. The festival provided invaluable opportunities for Hong Kong startups to connect with founders, investors, talents, and business partners from around the globe.
The highlight of this festival, Connect Day, served as the cornerstone of ViennaUP, functioning as a critical matchmaking platform for startups, corporations, and investors. This event provided our startups with a platform to pitch their groundbreaking ideas and showcase the strength of the innovative technologies emerging from Hong Kong.
