High-End Technologies from Austria for Korean Recycling Plant
Today’s waste is raw material of tomorrow: the Korean SJ Corporation opened a new recycling plant in Chungju, Chungbuk Province, Korea, in November 2023. The opening ceremony was attended by the Austrian Trade Commissioner, Wolfgang Köstinger, and the Austrian Ambassador Wolfgang Angerholzer
The recycling plant processes waste glass and old solar panels into glass granulate. The granulate can then be reused for glass production, making the plant an excellent example for circular economy.
High-end technology for this plant was provided by the Austrian companies Binder + Co AG, Komptech and Andritz.
The opening of this recycling plant highlights the leading role of Austrian companies in the field of environmental technology.
