OeAD-SCholarship Calls for 2021/22

The OeAD, as Austria’s Agency for Education and Internationalisation, has been been advising, supporting and networking people and institutions in education, science, research and culture with future-oriented programmes for over 60 years. As an agency of the Republic of Austria it contributes to inclusive, equal and high-quality education.  

A variety of OeAD sponsored calls for Scholarships and Grants are currently open for applications.  

Programmes such as the Ernst Mach Grant, Franz Werfel Fellowship and Richard Plaschka Fellowship are open to applicants from around the world, as is the Marietta Blau Scholarship which enables Doctoral and PhD Candidates at Austrian universities a stay abroad to further develop their thesis.

Summer course at the Vienna School of International Studies

The Summer Course of the Diplomatische Akademie Wien (DA) - Vienna School of International Studies offers intensive German classes for learners of all levels – from beginners to advanced, everybody can find a course suitable to the individual requirements. Classes are taught in small groups by a team of highly experienced trainers specially qualified for teaching “German as a Foreign Language”. By means of creative language learning, research projects and leisure activities students can discover Austria in all facets as well as apply the new language skills acquired during classes. Additionally, lectures and excursions (including hiking, wine tasting and waltz lessons) give participants the opportunity to learn about Austrian politics, history, society and culture.
