On September 21, 2021 the Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Australia and the Republic of Austria have signed their first-ever Strategic Cooperation Arrangement. Through the bilateral arrangement the Australian and Austrian government commit to intensify their cooperation via tangible projects and initiatives in priority areas.
Besides political areas such as foreign and security policy, cooperation in the field of migration and trade and investment policies, climate and energy are among the most important thematic fields in which the cooperation between the Commonwealth of Australia and Austria is going to be fostered and enhanced in the future, on a intergovernmental, scientific and business level.
