At the core of this innovative facility is an advanced water boiler, powered by excess electricity from renewable sources. Water is heated and stored in that boiler and provides eco-friendly heat for the region. The tower boasts an 85,000 kWh heat storage capacity and an emergency electrical power capacity of 20 megawatts. This enables nearly 100% sustainable coverage of Hall's heat demand, reducing its previous 6% reliance on natural gas even further.

This ambitious project was completed in just 20 months, requiring a 7.5 million euro investment. This investment not only benefits the environment but also enhances Hall's energy security.

Mayor Dr. Christian Margreiter emphasized the importance of the project for the city, stating, "Towers are iconic symbols of our town. In addition to church steeples, the Münzer Tower, and the diving tower, we now have another tower in Hall that meets the needs of the present – the Climate Tower. Beyond promoting energy conservation and reducing CO2 emissions, the tower also enhances our energy security."
