We have the power: Austrian World Summit 2023, 16 and 17 May 2023, in Vienna and online

Spring in Vienna this year was once again  all about sustainable climate protection projects and, as ever, successful initiatives from the fields of energy and climate action are set to be presented at the Austrian World Summit 2023. Innovative technological solutions to counter environmental pollution were also unveiled.

There are lasting challenges that influence the lives of everyone; the geopolitical situation is unstable, energy supplies are under threat, inflation is skyrocketing, and the climate crisis might seem to be fading into the background. This year’s slogan, “we have the power”, was intended to encourage people to do their bit for a positive change.

Four panel discussions were addressed climate change and security, how we can reach our climate targets (more quickly), the circular economy, and green cities.

As every year, leading personalities from the worlds of politics, commerce and civil society, representatives from startups, regional and municipal activists, and a range of experts were swapping notes, comparing experiences and exchanging ideas with a view to accelerating the progress of sustainable climate protection projects.

ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA is once again proud to be involved in supporting this top-level event.

This year, there was once again an opportunity to take part virtually: up to 1,200 people were able to view the livestream while chatting with other participants or holding bilateral one-on-one or group meetings online.
