Strengthened outreach efforts were achieved between January and March 2026 through participation in three prominent education fairs across Hong Kong. Representing IMC Krems, the University of Leoben, Modul University Vienna, Sigmund Freud University, and Amadeus International School Vienna, our team engaged directly with Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSE) and International Baccalaureates (IB) students, parents, and educators interested in exploring international study pathways and opportunities in Austria.
The outreach began at the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority (HKEAA) Open Day, where HKDSE candidates and parents sought clarity on flexible admission routes and Englishtaught programs offered by Austrian institutions. Many parents also expressed interest on behalf of younger children, reflecting growing earlystage planning for overseas education. This was followed by the Hong Kong Trade and Development Council (HKTDC) Education & Career Expo, one of Hong Kong’s largest public education events. Austria drew strong attention for its academic strengths in music, engineering, hospitality, and sustainability. We concluded the season at the Canadian International School (CDNIS) Global University Fair, where IB students arrived eager to explore program choices and campus life in Austria. Business and engineering programs emerged as areas of particular interest among families seeking internationally recognised qualifications.
Across all three events, the response from students and parents underscored a rising interest in studying in Austria and a growing appetite for diverse, globally oriented education options. We will continue expanding our outreach to support local students in discovering the wide range of academic opportunities available across Austrian universities and schools.
