GIN GO HONG KONG 2021 was a hybrid acceleration programme for Austrian later-stage startups that aim to internationalise to Asia, especially to Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area. Through various online and physical briefings and mentoring sessions, representatives from 9 Austrian health and biotech innovators gained insights into the Hong Kong, Greater Bay and Asian markets in September 2021. Furthermore, they had the chance to verify if their solutions are ready for the Asian markets. The programme was organized by ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA Hong Kong, together with the Austrian Global Incubator Network GIN and the Austrian Consulate General (under the ReFocus Austria Initiative to strengthen the Austrian Economy). The programme received tremendous support from various Hong Kong partners including the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, InvestHK, the WHUB community, the accelerator BRINC, the DO School, the law firm Ravenscroft & Schmierer and other Hong Kong and Greater Bay area-based corporates.

The representatives from the 9 Austrian health tech and biotech innovators who have gone through the GIN GO HONG KONG 2021 digital programme will also come to Hong Kong in person at a later date to deepen initial contacts.
