A recap of the GoHongkong 2026 Programme
The GO HONG KONG 2026 programme, jointly organised by the Global Incubator Network Austria (GIN) and ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA Hong Kong, successfully took place in April as a one-week market entry initiative, supporting Austrian companies in expanding to Hong Kong and Macao. This year marked a premiere focus on Digital Art & Entertainment, bringing together six Austrian startups to explore new opportunities in Asia’s dynamic creative and technology sectors. The programme combined targeted preparation with an intensive on-site ecosystem tour, offering participants direct access to key stakeholders, industry insights, and business opportunities.
A key highlight was the participation in the European Pavilion at InnoEX, one of Asia’s leading innovation and technology exhibitions, which serves as a global platform connecting startups, corporates, and investors. Complementing this, the delegation engaged with Hong Kong’s vibrant cultural landscape through visits to the M+ Museum—a flagship institution for contemporary visual culture—and the East Kowloon Cultural Centre, gaining first-hand insights into the region’s fast-growing digital arts ecosystem. These experiences provided valuable inspiration and practical understanding of how technology and creativity increasingly intersect in the Greater Bay Area.
The programme concluded with a breakout session in Macao, where participating companies pitched their solutions to six major casino operators, opening up concrete business development opportunities in one of the world’s most entertainment-driven markets. Overall, GO HONG KONG 2026 once again demonstrated its value as a launchpad for Austrian innovation in Asia, fostering meaningful connections and paving the way for future collaborations. Participating companies included 70% Water, Amadeus Acoustics, Artivive, Dreamwaves, LiveVoice, Vienna Digital Lab, highlighting the breadth and creativity of Austria’s digital innovation landscape.
