The Austrian company Komptech recently received an order from Zoomlion Ghana for the delivery of 5 mobile garbage treatment plants to be delivered within the next 12 months. The plants are designed to solve the problem of the growing waste mountains in Accra by sorting and recycling reusable material, while processing the large amount of organic waste into compost.
The order from Zoomlion Ghana represents the largest single order in the company's history for Komptech, amounting to EUR 13 million. The financing was secured with the help of export subsidies from the Austrian Kontrollbank.
Zoomlion Ghana is a dominant waste collection, disposal and treatment company and belongs to the Ghanaian Jospong Group. The Jospong Group is an Accra-based African flagship company with over 85,000 employees, operating throughout West Africa.
