The “Culture meets Internationalisation and Innovation” video project hopes to turn a global spotlight on these firms and is showcasing 14 companies from the Salzkammergut.

Salinen Austria AG is one of Europe’s leading salt producers, sourcing the finest natural salt and evaporated salt from the Salzkammergut’s Austrian Alps.

It’s incredible to think that salt has been mined in the Salzkammergut for 7,000 years and Salinen Austria is of course as proud of this tradition as it is that its use of cutting-edge technology does not compromise the quality of the local salt in the slightest; what began with the world’s oldest, still-active pipeline system for brine has now become an innovative, hi-tech firm.
