Zahel vinifies its wines in a natural way - with working practices that leave the vineyards in as untouched and pure a state as possible. After decades of avoiding pesticides and using cultivation methods in harmony with nature, all the winery's vineyards received organic certification in 2017 and Demeter biodynamic certification in 2018.
33 hectares of vineyards are cultivated in every important winegrowing area of Vienna. The different soils, combined with the specific microclimate of each location, form the basis for wines of outstanding quality. In its sheer diversity, the unique quality of Vienna's soil is further enhanced by the multifaceted nature of the city.

The Zahel organic winery is looking for new importers/distribution partners who are interested in organic & biodynamic wines. The portfolio includes the classic Wiener Gemischter Satz, along with single-vineyard and natural wines. Sparkling wine and Pet Nats complete the range.
Varieties: Wiener Gemischter Satz, Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, Rotburger, Pinot Noir, St. Laurent & other autochthonous grape varieties such as the Orangetraube or Neuburger.
