The Eckhof winery is located in the up-and-coming winegrowing region of Wagram, on the area of deep loess soil north of the Danube that stretches for about 30 km to the east. The climatic profile of this region offers the best conditions for growing the Grüner Veltliner and Roter Veltliner varieties.
For this reason, 80% of the wines Bernhard Ecker produces are local white wine varieties. The Grüner Veltliner grape variety and the autochthonous white wine variety Roter Veltliner are among the two most important representatives of the extensive range of wines.
The winery, which has won numerous national and international awards, has been an integral part of the local winemaking scene for years. Ecker wines are also becoming increasingly popular abroad. Bernhard Ecker is committed to consistent top quality standards without compromise.
